Performance and satisfaction of volunteer nurses in Minglanilla district hospital

Abstract

Findings:
Majority of the respondents were female and 21-25 years old. Their performance was interpreted as good. They were highly satisfied of the Volunteer Nurse Program. There were no noted significant relationship between profile and performance as well as profile and satisfaction.
Conclusion:
The volunteer nurses were good in performance and were highly satisfied. Their age and gender does not affect performance and satisfaction.
Recommendations:
Minglanilla District Hospital should implemented preceptorship program. The administrator should explain the structure. Th head nurses and supervisors should allow volunteer nurses to carry out doctor's order. The supervisors should reorient the different department pilicies and location acquisition of different supplies.

Objectives

Objectives and Scope:
The study determined the performance of volunteer nurses and their satisfaction of the Volunteer Nurses' Program at Minglanilla District Hospital. The findings of which was the bases for a proposed Preceptorship Program.
